Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about West End Wonders workshops
At West End Wonders, we believe the magic of the arts should feel joyful and pressure‑free. That’s why there’s no end‑of‑week production and no expectation for children to perform for an audience. Instead, we focus on the moment — exploring musical skills, building confidence, and celebrating creativity simply for the love of it.
Children are welcome to join on the days that suit them, without any worry about having missed previous sessions. Each day stands alone, offering fresh activities and new musicals to explore, so every child can step in feeling relaxed, included, and ready to shine.
Parents can also feel completely at ease knowing their children are in safe, experienced hands. Our workshops are led by two fully qualified teachers from Blackheath Prep, supported by a small team of carefully chosen helpers who share our passion for nurturing and inspiring young people.
West End Wonders isn’t just a holiday camp — it’s a supportive, confidence‑boosting space where children can discover their voice, try new things, and experience the joy of the performing arts.
West End Wonders is led by Bryoney Calnan and Suzy Roberts, two dedicated and experienced teachers from Blackheath Prep who share a deep love of theatre and the performing arts. Together, they bring a blend of musical expertise, drama training, and a passion for nurturing children’s confidence and creativity.

Children will be welcomed at the gate by members of the team and securely signed in. Children will have access to drinking fountains and clean, secure toilets for their comfort.
Children will be released at 3pm from the same gate at the end of the session to their trusted adult. Early collection of your child is available, please let us know on the day if this is required.
Children should arrive dressed appropriately for West End Wonders. Comfortable clothing and trainers are essential, as Crocs or similar rubber shoes are not permitted. Please ensure suncream is applied before arrival; children may bring additional suncream, but they will need to reapply it themselves during the day.
We also ask that every child brings a packed lunch. As we operate on a nut‑free premises, please check that all food items are suitable. Children should also bring a refillable water bottle, with plenty of opportunities throughout the day to top it up. Packed lunches should include a small mid‑morning snack — a piece of fruit or a cereal bar works perfectly.
